P. Christian Bailey, AIA, SARA, LEED AP

P. Christian Bailey is recognized for design leadership on both national and international stages, with over 25 years of architectural and construction experience. Formerly a Founding Principal at ODA and Director at Morris Adjmi Architects, he is known for his collaborative approach and mentorship—guiding teams to deliver innovative, resilient mixed-use/mixed-income residential and hospitality projects. Christian’s unwavering commitment to design excellence has helped shape urban environments around the world.

He currently shares his expertise as an Adjunct Professor at City Tech and NYIT in New York City, as well as an Affiliate Professor of Practice at Virginia Tech. Christian has lectured at numerous universities—including Virginia Tech, Pratt Institute, NYCCT, and Laurentian University—and frequently serves as a guest critic for design reviews and design award juries.

Christian is the Board President of the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) New York Chapter, a member of the Industry Advisory Group for the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO), and an active member of the AIA. Fostering the intersection of art and architecture is a particular passion of his: in 2023, he organized the first SARAART exhibition, an international art-by-architects show and fundraiser for student scholarships. He has exhibited work in multiple Art by Architects shows, solo exhibitions, and was represented by The Art Arsenal with his abstract paintings.

After receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech, Christian worked as a carpenter in Atlanta with multiple design-build firms before relocating to New York City in 2001 with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons, Nathan and Dylan.
